Charminar
Golconda stands high on a 400 m granite hill with boundary walls with varying heights from 5m to 10 m, sadly drilled by bastions shot from canons. Be prepared to climb heights to view the fort and beauty of the city of Hyderabad from an elevation. The clapping chamber welcomes you which is said, that the clapping sound originating from this place reaches the top of the fort, it has amazing acoustics if it is real. Take a right and move through the lawn and from there the stairs to reach the top of the fort starts. There is also a slope for some distance, wear a nice shoe to walk over this slope. While we ascend just ruins and Remain on Both sides, there will be a temple. There will be a small building on the top, single stored, cool drinks are available for purchase at this spot. After spending some time, you can descend through steps on the other side (opposite to the one you came Up The steps will lead to the place where light and sound shows are conducted, followed by the place which is said to be the place where horses and elephants were rested, it stinks too. Crossing that, there will be a big lawn, neatly maintained, snacks shop on one corner.
At 17:00 hour, all persons will be forced out of the fort, And again tickets will be issued for the light and sound show, 50rs per person - normal ticket. It will be for one hour. It will be available in English/Hindi, be sure to check the language of the show while buying the time

Birla Mandir is located towards the southern end of Hussain Saggar Lake in Hyderabad. It is situated atop the Kala Pahad which is a twin hillock of Naubat Pahad. The Birlas built the Hyderabad temple in 1976 and constructed it with white marble imported from Rajasthan. The hillock is at a height of 280 feet situated on a 13-acre plot.
The construction took almost a decade to complete and was consecrated in the same year by Swami Ranganathananda of Ramakrishna Mission. Birla Foundation, known for constructing other similar temples across the country is the patron of Birla Mandir at Hyderabad too.
The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu present in the form of Sri Venkateswara. One can find the kirtanas of Tyagaraja, Annamayya, and Ramadasu reverberating against the backdrop of a blue sky in the morning. The temple combines the architectural styles of Utkal (Oriya) and South Indian style. The Rajagopuram represents the South Indian architectural style while the tower over the main shrine also called the Jagadananda Vimanam represents the Oriyan style. The temple also boasts of finely sculpted marbled images depicting the great epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata. The 42-foot high sanctum sanctorum (garbha gudi) is an impressive replica of the Venkateshwara temple at Tirumala.
The presiding deity is made of granite, 11-feet tall. Swami Venkateswara’s consorts Padmavati and Andal are worshipped in adjoining separate shrines. The Birla Mandir complex also houses a temple dedicated to Buddha along with fresco paintings describing his life. The temple also has separate shrines for other gods such as Shiva, Ganesh, Saraswati, Hanuman, Brahma, Lakshmi, and Saibaba.

History of Salar Jung Museum
The Salar Jung Museum was established in the year 1951 and is located on the southern bank of the River Musi in Hyderabad, Telangana State of India. The Salar Jung family is responsible for its collection of rare art objects from all over the world. The family is one of the most illustrious families in Deccan history, five of them having been prime ministers in the erstwhile Nizam rule of Hyderabad-Deccan. Nawab Mir Yousuf Ali Khan, popularly known as Salar Jung III was appointed prime minister by Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan Nizam VII in 1912. Salar Jung III relinquished the post of dewan or Prime Minister in November 1914 and devoted his life in enriching his treasures of art and literature. The news of his passionate love for art had spread far and wide and his ancestral palace, the Dewan Deodi was forever thronged with sellers of wares from all corners of the world. He also had agents abroad who sent him catalogues and lists from well-known antique dealers. He did not limit his purchases only to these sources but also made purchases personally during his tours abroad to Europe and the Middle Eastern countries.
Not only was he a great collector of antiques, art and rare manuscripts he also patronized poets, writers and artists, encouraging literary and cultural activities. He was responsible for the publication of many books on his own family members. This went on for forty years till he passed away on 2nd March 1949., the entire collection was left behind without an inheritor. It was the family members of the late Nawab who got together to gift the fabulous collection to the nation as there could not have been a better proposal.
The collection in the form of a museum was declared open on 16th December 1951 in Dewan Deodi, home of the late Salar Jung, and was opened to the public by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. Later the Government of India with the consent of the family members took over the Museum formally through a compromise deed and the museum was administered by the Ministry of Scientific Research and Cultural Affairs, Government of India. Finally, in 1961, through an “Act of Parliament,” the Salar Jung Museum along with its library was declared an “Institution of National Importance”.
The Museum was transferred to its present building, inaugurated by Dr. Zakir Hussain, President of India in the year 1968. The administration was transferred to an Autonomous Board, with the Governor of Andhra Pradesh as its Chairman. After the bifurcation of the state, the Governor of Telangana is its Chairman.

Located atop a 280-foot-high hillock of Kalapahad, the beautiful Birla Mandir has derived its name from the industrialist Birlas who have constructed Birla temples in various parts of the country. It is an ideal place to visit in the evening in Hyderabad.
Constructed in 1976, it is said it took close to 2000 tonnes of white marbles to build this stunning temple which was brought from Rajasthan.
It has drawn its architecture from the amalgamation of three known architectural designs - South Indian Architecture, Utkal temple Architecture and Rajasthani Architecture.
The temple has an 11 ft. tall statue of Lord Lakshminarayana with a magnificent lotus carved around it.
Built in the European style, Purani Haveli is situated the Southeast of Afzal Gunj Bridge near Dewan Devdi. In the 16th century, it was used as the residential quarter of Mir Momen, the Peshwa of Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah.
However, later in the 18th century, it was acquired and then renovated by Nizam III. It was then passed on to his son Sikandar Jah, who, although moved to the Khilaurat complex, gave it the name of Purani Haveli.
It has beautifully designed interiors, antique furniture, vast courtyards, and rooms with colorful tiled walls and mosaic floors. It also has Nizam’s museum with an extensive collection

medicinal plants and aquatic plants.
The Bamboo Sector and the Palm sector are two of the most attractive sections of the garden. The presence of breathtaking flowers and rare plants makes this place quite attractive. For entry, you need to pay a minimal fee.
The Nizam's Museum
A short stroll away from Charminar is the Nizam Museum which invites history buffs to step back into history and take a sneak peek into the lives of the then-Nizams of Hyderabad.
Opened to the public in the year 2000, the Nizam Museum boasts an impressive collection of artifacts, memoirs, gifts, and souvenirs that are sure to attract you.
These include the paintings of Mir Osman Ali Khan, caskets, gold and diamond studded draggers, a wooden writing box, silver perfume bottles, and a wooden throne.
Other items like vintage cars, a gift from the Raja of Palvancha and a more than 150 year old lift are also on display.
